The Old Forge
John Smith the last (and aptly named) village blacksmith demonstrates horse shoeing, The houses in the background are the now demolished Blacksmith's Row located where the the houses in The Old Coach Yard now stand.

A fine example of John Smith's work: the seat which stands on the grassed area on entering the village in Poundfield Road. There was originally a twin of this seat on the grass verge outside Holly House at the other end of the village.
The two properties which now stand on the site of the Old Forge.
