United Reformed Chapel & Manse
Potterspury is a little unusual for a village of its size in having two buildings of the established church within the parish boundary. It is also unusual in that it is one of the earliest villages in Northamptonshire to have had a thriving Nonconformist community. Many records and writings have survived to tell us something of its history. Former headteacher Jack Clamp has conducted extensive research into these documents and has written an excellent book on the subject, An Illustrated History of the Protestant Dissenting Church : Potterspury & Yardley Gobion Northamptonshire, 1690-1920. It is available in our library
