The Village Hall

Potterspury Village Hall began life as a wooden hut which was transferred from Weedon Barracks in 1921 after the First World War. It was run by the YMCA and known as the Red Triangle Institute after the organisation's logo.

Between the wars it was open most nights for young people and provided equipment for a wide array of activities.

In July 1944 the owner of the Institute, Mrs Nansi Wynne Davies offered the hall and the land to the village. A few months later the land at the back of the hall was given to the village by Queen's College, Oxford, on condition that it was used for no other purpose but recreation.

In 1984 the whole building was expanded and rebuilt in brick.
